Had my interest in encrypting (some of) my instant messages piqued the other day, so I reinstalled pidgin-encrypt 3.0 on my computer (work and home). Turns out there is a bug that prevents key exchange(?) when talking over XMPP (Google Talk or Jabber). It does not seem to have any issues working over AIM right now, so that’s what I’m using as a work around.
